Chandra with her boys Ethan and Carsten

To Do GREAT WORK you MUST LOVE what you do....

I am excited you have found us!  There is nothing better than going to work each day and loving what I do.  It truly is life changing. YOU are the reason I get to do that.  Flowers have been a love of mine since I was just a child picking buttercups with my grandfather in Elgin, Oregon where I was born and raised. In high school I was active in our FFA chapter which helped form those dreams of flower farming or greenhouse production.  Well... life happened and that wasn't the direction I went.  Instead I found more enthusiasm for the design side of the industry.  I LOVE weddings and events, so it was only natural that be my focus.

After helping family and friends plan, design, and execute their own weddings I was urged to start my own endeavor.  Simplified Celebrations was born in 2009. Having an entrepreneur for a father  and a creative mother already equipped me with the building blocks needed to start my own business.

Following the birth of my second son, MY dream came true. The first step was remodeling my garage into a fully operational design studio. My dining room was then converted into a comfortable consultation area. By keeping the business close to home, I was not only able to keep my two boys Ethan and Carsten close, but also kept overhead costs to a minimum.

Aside from having formal experience in a local flower shop, I graduated from The Floral Design Institute in Seattle, WA. Soon after I took the Advanced Wedding Design course from FDI and continues to stay on top of current and upcoming trends in floral artistry and design. In 2016 I was embraced by an international collective of wedding and event designers, Chaple Designers. Having Holly Chapple and so may other amazing floral designers as part of my team has changed not only my outlook on the industry but also the way I design.  I really enjoy learning new techniques and trends to bring to our area.

November 2015 Simplified Celebrations relocated to our cute little studio in Richland, WA off Casey Avenue. Now offering expanded consultation times, Sips & Stems classes, and a co-op environment for other vendors in the event and wedding industry to meet their clients.

Come and see the new space, chat flowers, and tell us what inspires you.

Cheers!
